As a Young Adult and Middle Grade Fantasy author I love meeting and speaking with students about all things books and writing. I’m an experienced workshop facilitator and professional speaker with many years’ experience public speaking and working as a trainer (at registered training organisations).
I have run successful workshops for the Queensland Writers Centre and several libraries in the Brisbane and Gold Coast areas. I have also presented at GenreCon 2019.
I am available for school visits (in person or virtually) and have Teacher and Librarian Resources available. I can also arrange discounts on bulk book orders, facilitate sales on the day or beforehand through an online shop.
Some of the topics I can talk about include:
- Creating fantastical worlds
- Writing fantasy
- Creating awesome characters
- How to start your story
- The magic of story beats
- How to plan a story
- Top Tips for Writing the Greatest of All Time Story!
I follow the Australian Society of Authors (ASA) recommended rates, which you can find here.
